an intensely moving album about uboa and her struggles with abandonment issues and gender dysphoria. the album cover is actually a picture xandra took of herself lying in a hospital bed after a suicide attempt. extremely painful first listen. i love how much xandra plays around with different textures and feelings in her work. everything feels so tense and anxious.
why do these guys remind me of daughters so much?? very bizarre. fucking scary too. some of the best sludge i've heard in a long ass time. solid 9/10. feels like slam poetry in some places too. my weakness.
not my fav from daughters but still a good example of alexis' artistic talent and vision. very difficult first listen, even for me. good thing it's short. 6.5/10
